5,000 euro fine for unsolicited telemarketing

The Spanish supervisory authority (AEPD) imposed a fine on Introduction Business Capital Media, SL following a complaint about unsolicited telemarketing. The complainant received calls of a commercial nature despite not having given his consent. AEPD found that the administrator breached Article 21(2) of the GDPR by making unsolicited telemarketing calls. Taking into account that the administrator is a small business and that the infringement qualified as mild, the AEPD imposed a penalty on Introduction Business Capital Media in the amount in question.
