The Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food was fined €25,000 by the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA) for failing to comply with data protection regulations. The Ministry did not have a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for nearly a year, from August 2022 to June 2023, despite being obligated to appoint one under the regulations. As a result, the Ministry was penalised with a monetary fine.
