The Danish supervisory authority (Datatilsynet) has fined Danske Shoppingcentre P/S DKK 350,000 (approximately PLN 223,259.50) for the unauthorised use of camera surveillance.
The cantroller had installed CCTV in several public toilets to prevent vandalism and theft in these areas and to ensure customer safety. Datatilsynet found that the controller violated the principle of data minimisation by doing so.
