The Personal Data Protection Office points out that the Polish legal system lacks comprehensive provisions on the use of drones by public authorities to perform their tasks or exercise public authority. When using drones, a wide range of data is obtained, which is currently processed in an unclear manner, without respect for the principles set out in Article 5 of the GDPR. The performance of public tasks using drones may therefore violate the rights and freedoms of data subjects.
