The European Union Agency for Cyber Security (ENISA) has published a report on cyber security awareness. According to the recommendations, EU Member States should take concrete actions to ensure cyber security.
ENISA made a number of recommendations to increase the effectiveness of national awareness efforts, which revolve around four points:
- building awareness of cyber security, who it affects and what its main objectives are;
- regularly assessing cyber-security trends and challenges by conducting threat analyses and reports;
- measuring cyber-security by taking into account the thinking and behaviour patterns of EU citizens;
- planning awareness-raising campaigns on cyber-security.
